Bright energy efficient homes that feel as good as they look.

Sustainable Home

We know that our clients are worried about the financial risks of a project, whether that be an understanding of the overall costs, consultants or statutory fees, or managing unforeseen issues arising from old buildings. For most, a home is the most significant financial investment they will make. That’s why we have set out a transparent process so you can get a clearer view from the outset.

Here’s how we make it happen:

Making your home healthier

We adopt a fabric first approach to improve buildings at the very heart. We assess the existing building to identify sensible improvements, improving comfort by considering airtightness, insulation and by optimising ventilation. A detailed assessment of the overall performance also helps us understand solar gains, thermal mass and the energy produced by the occupants.

By paying close attention to certain key areas we are able to plan more effectively and build better performing homes that are both comfortable and look after you and your family.

Natural light. Daylight has dramatic impact on personal wellbeing, so we look for opportunities here to maximise its benefits right from the very start.

Air quality. We’re dedicated to using healthy materials and incorporate mechanical ventilation systems to help circulate and draw in fresh air more efficiently.

Maximising your space and flexibility

London’s houses are often compromised, making them challenging to furnish for modern family life. They also do not provide sufficient storage for everything you own, a challenge for growing families whose needs and habits change quickly.

Through conversation and listening to your responses, we uncover opportunities around enhancing your home’s flexibility and proposing new creative solutions to old persistent problems.

Transforming layout is restructured around your desires and needs, radically transforming your home from one that conditions you into a home that serves you.

Bespoke solutions such as partitioned spaces to provide temporary accommodation or new versatile areas that serve multipurpose functions.

Storage to keep your home tidy, easy to clean and looking good. We explore opportunities at every stage to maximise storage and minimise clutter.

Reducing your impact

We believe that it is possible to live in a comfortable and beautiful home and be responsible for the future of our planet. As parents, we are committed to a better future for the next generation.

The UK construction industry is accountable for 40% of the UK's annual carbon emissions. As a sustainably-minded practice, we are committed to reducing this statistic in everything we do. All our buildings and renovations therefore are made with carefully sourced materials that minimise the impact on the environment.

Energy efficient. We believe in a fabric first approach that prioritises good building practice (insulation and airtightness) over technological add-ons to provide you with an efficient building that uses less energy over its lifetime.

Sustainable sourcing. All materials are selected and sourced by considering the embodied carbon used to manufacture and deliver building products.

Natural choices. By using natural products where possible, we can help eliminate toxic emissions within your home.

Managing your costs

We understand that undertaking a construction project can be an overwhelming prospect for many. For this reason, we take project budgeting seriously, developing a detailed understanding from the early stages and taking a leading role in cost planning.

How does this look from your perspective?

Throughout the entire design process, we manage a detailed cost plan so that you can keep track of things more easily. We start with a simple plan that considers all costs associated with a project, including construction, professional fees, statutory fees and VAT. This is continuously fine-tuned and becomes more detailed as the design develops.

Finally, we understand that choosing high-performance products for your home can lead to positive impacts on future running costs. Part of our service involves assessing the financial impact of energy saving measures over the long term so that you can ultimately decide what is best for you.

Transparent fees. If the scope of a project is unclear from the outset, we provide fee budgets within the scope of an all-encompassing project budget.

Peace of mind. Projects are tendered competitively with a full set of detailed drawings and an itemised schedule of work, listing all the major components and work involved in putting your building together. A competitive tender ensures that you get the best price.

In control. During construction, we administer contracts using a robust and thorough set of construction drawings, the detailed schedule of work, and a contract specification. We have never had a project exceed the contract value due to unknowns found during construction.
